This is a rare example of a pre-WW2 conical churn, originally used to deliver milk, often on a handcart or horse drawn carriage. This type of churn pre-dates the use of bottles, during this period milk was decanted from this type of churn and delivered in small jugs.
Constructed from polished steel and brass, a rare collectors item in museum quality condition.
